From Humble Beginnings

Formed in 1981, the South Perth United Football Club started out with just 20 members.

Today, we have over 450 players and several teams catering to all ages, we're proud to be an inclusive and supportive staple in the community.

Purpose

Our purpose is to provide access to soccer for a wide range of City of South Perth residents and the broader community. 

Who We Are

Here at South Perth United, we’re a not-for-profit organisation that serves the community. 

The service we provide creates value for many – our teams, families, local community, and our global soccer community. Our Charter Values guide the way we operate every year: Culture, Sustainability, and Safety.

We provide an environment for people to grow in various ways including interpersonal skills, soccer ability, and leadership skills.

Culture

Putting enjoyment of the sport and being a part of the community at the forefront of our focus. Support the club that supports the members.

  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all, for people of all different ages, backgrounds, fitness & skill level. 

  • Maintain a culture that attracts new members and retains previous players.

  • Allow for open and transparent sharing of information across the club’s stakeholders & community.

  • All players follow the Code of Conduct and demonstrates the qualities the club stands for and wants to be known for.

Sustainability

Decisions made with the future of the club and its members in mind. Supporting our members and other businesses in the local area. Attracting talent to better enable our commercial arrangements.

  • Maintaining and improving commercial arrangements to ensure that we can provide our service to the community.

  • Being intentional with all expenditure. Audit equipment yearly, re-use items owned and maintained by the club. Ensuring expenditure aligns with overall club vision and goals. Actioning in the best interest of the players.

Safety

Ensure all of our members feel safe. Harassment, bullying and abuse will not be tolerated at the club. Safeguarding of minors. 

  • Maintain safety standards where all members of our community are safe.

  • Safeguarding players from harassment, abuse, bullying. With a no bullying approach and having set up appropriate escalation processes available for any disputes.
